Palliative and End-of-Life Reiki
What if we treat death like birth? What if learning our loved one is dying and approaching death is met with a deep love with which we greet new life? What if we care for the dying just as we know how to care for a newborn?
I use a combination of Reiki and other intuitive methods in my energy work for those receiving palliative and hospice care and their caregivers.
Reiki is gaining popularity as a way to support those in the process of dying. It involves using a light touch to transfer energy from one person to another, helping promote relaxation and create a sense of peace and well-being. Reiki has been shown to have numerous positive effects, ranging from physical pain relief to increased mental clarity and improved mood, and it can be beneficial for both the dying person and their caregivers to use this healing technique as part of end-of-life care.
Reiki can help relieve physical discomfort in the dying person by reducing pain and other sensations associated with the transition into death. In addition, it can also help reduce anxiety and depression by providing comfort and relaxation during a difficult time. Caregivers may experience similar benefits as they use Reiki to connect with the dying person on a deeper level while providing emotional support.
Reiki can be performed at any stage of the dying process. My sessions are tailored to each person and their specific needs, and are available at home or in facility.
Death is a natural part of the cycle of life. What if people were aware and knew how to create a “soul sanctuary”—a place of quiet voices, slow movement, and an atmosphere of the sacred as individuals moved into their final days? Knowledge of these energetic patterns may provide guidance to hospice and palliative care providers and identify supportive activities for the family of dying people as they interact with the transition of death.
Sessions are provided on a sliding scale $65-95/hour. (Includes travel within the Tri-Town Area)
Financial assistance is available.
